First it is important to know that this is probably a good hard drive. We've used the 2TB version all year and have been happy with it. I wanted a new one for our next trip and when I saw they were offering 4TB in the USB-C version I got it. On the Macbook Air, the USB-C slots are too close together, so I figured a thin native USB-C cable would be better than the adapter we have, which is difficult to place next to another cable. No! This is a USB-A hard drive with the *same* USB-A to USB-A cable as all other versions. You just pack a USB-A to USB-C adapter. Not flimsy with a cable but a bit thick that fully covers the other USB-C port on Macbook Air. I would give 5 stars for the hard drive but 0 stars for misleading marketing.
