I wanted a bag that would convert from a tote to a backpack and be practical for everyday use but nice enough to take with you in the evening. It definitely was! I have just returned from a three week vacation. I have used the bag every day and so far it is still in perfect condition. I keep a good volume and I was happy with the capacity. I usually packed a water bottle, a book, a small sweater, and all the usual stuff like sunscreen, sunglasses, wallet, lotion, etc. Everything went well. At some points on the trip I was even able to take my laptop with me, although it was quite heavy for the bag. The straps are quite thin, so if you feel you need extra support, choose something else.
