Review on 🚲 Gavin Unisex Road Bike Mesh Cycling Shoes for Men and Women by Eric Garron

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very good shoes for your money.

I have been riding my bike for a long time so this is probably the 6th pair I own. Unlike leatherette and natural leather, they compete with shoes that are 3-4 times more expensive. Good width, which is almost rare in spike shoes. Most brands are narrow. As for a few negative reviews of this shoe: 1) The "high heels" comment - all spike shoes have an overgrown stain on the heel. They are designed to be less uncomfortable when walking and also provide some traction when walking on a hard surface (e.g. a tiled floor). The spikes are made of hard plastic so they don't stick together, so without those heel cups and grippy things on their surface it would be like walking on ice. 2) Regarding the cleat mounting hole misalignment complaint, you can adjust the position of the front and rear bars. It may take some effort to move/push them the first time, but they move. 3) Difficult to walk: This is the nature of the animal. Embossed cycling shoes are not walking or hiking shoes. Yes, people look at you when you awkwardly "click, click, click" as you walk through a gas station to use their toilet or refill your food or water. But you're probably also wearing lycra shorts and a flashy tank top so you're already eye candy. It's just another addition to the freak show for Joe Sixpack to laugh at. ;-)
