Molten Filling!: Bedding

I loved this bedding set when I ordered it. Dark emerald green, the velvet is soft and plush. The bottom is cheap cotton, but I didn't mind that much. The first time I washed it, I followed the washing instructions exactly. Everything in the gentle cycle. Pulled out the dryer after half a cycle on low heat/delicate setting and all the filling inside stuck together and melted! Some velvet areas on the outside are also tanned. DO NOT WASH AT HOME. The instructions say dry cleaning "on request". I would not have bought this if I had known that the only way to clean a king size comforter is to take it to the dry cleaners! Very disappointed and of course my window for a refund has already expired :(
