The old plug was tightened and rounded off by the technician who did the last oil change. This was a bit longer, but there is enough space in the oil pan for it. A good seal was included. Please note that the original fork used a 17mm box wrench or socket, while this replacement uses a 16mm box wrench. However, there are no problems with this. We recommend you look at the torque specs for your car's drain plug - mine is 30 ft-lbs.
