GENERAL: The main advantage of this small device is its portability and durability. Head to the beach or the pool, you'll have music that will last you all day without fear of battery drain or damage to this little darling. SOUND: This is good for a tiny little speaker. "Extra bass" is fool's gold. You really can't have much bass for a tiny 1.81-inch speaker. This is my bathroom shower and my beach speaker. Tested "Bass" with some Bassnectar. Well it's like a little engine that could, but no, this little XB12 can't handle the Bassnectar. (-) This is exactly the same speaker as the Sony XB10 with only five minor changes. A: The water resistance has been raised to IP67, which is negligible unless you really want the speaker to be underwater. NFC pairing has been removed, read: Bluetooth victory. The horizontal base for placing the speaker on the side has disappeared. Strap for carrying or hanging the speaker. Now the price of $38 is $60. CONCLUSION: Don't buy Sony XB10 this version and save $22 or more.
