Review on CraftMedley Woodwork Glue Sandable Stainable by Carol Miller

The world's best wood glue is in the wrong container and therefore unusable.

First of all, this is the best wood glue on the market --- I've tried them all. The stickiness of this product makes it amazing for tiny pieces. When clamping or weighing down, you tear the wood apart and split it into pieces. I am restoring a small wooden collectible - I have arthritis and need all the help I can. Once dry, this glue will become permanent and you will believe this is a find of a lifetime. The reason I only give it two stars is because my first bottle had a dry "cork", probably 1/2 inch thick, which had to be pulled out to get at the wet glue. The glue that works well with small pieces is the 'pot', not the 6' tall bottle. I have to unscrew the cap, then put the stick in the bottle and then use a toothpick to pick up the glue from the stick Whatever happens during the bottling process, this product will react with air, so it doesn't matter if the 'jar' has an open neck or a 1/2" tall bottle. I actually found this glue locally for a little less than here. While my first bottle had a 1/2 inch stopper of gummy dried product, my next is solid dried product from top to bottom. I didn't open the cap before buying, but I will for the next bottle. If I was just reviewing this wood glue I would give it six stars if I could. However, I would say that their bottling process and inadequate delivery system make it a very bad buy. The first bottle contained at least a few inches of usable glue. The second bottle is nothing more than rubber waste.

Pros
  • Fabric Glue
Cons
  • Not as thick as other glues
