Bought these tap shoes this fall. Not knowing how the call was going to go, I didn't want to invest in an expensive pair of shoes. They were cheap and had a decent rating so I decided to give them a try. I ordered my usual shoe size which is 7M. When they arrived I found them a bit tight but decided to keep them anyway. After wearing them for a few months they have definitely loosened up a bit so I would suggest ordering your normal size. Shoes are not leather. It looks like some kind of vinyl. However, they are quite comfortable and offer decent support. Not sure how the sound compares to other tap shoes but for my purposes it's ok. If you're just trying out tap dancing, this shoe is for you. If you are more serious about this or want a shoe that will last a few years with regular use, I would order something a little better quality. All in all, they're okay for the price.
