Review on Dorman 924-5403 Windshield Washer Nozzle, 3-Pack, Black, for Select Peterbilt Models by Brian Hazzard

Standard nozzle that works quite well

They won't actually fit a 1998 Ford Explorer rear window but this is how I got them working: First I replaced the rear wiper arm with a Dorman product which works great. The Dorman's nozzle left a lot to be desired though, I find the holes too big, but for some reason the coating was poor and it bled rather than spatter. I tried replacing the old attachment but it didn't fit snugly and the new lever was fine but not great. As already mentioned, these nozzles have a wide tube, so they fit snugly. They also fit upside down on the wiper arm as there is a large hole in the back. They snap, which is nice, not the power of the OEM. The little latch on the back that you can see is the atomizer, as is the nozzle at the end that you can't see. Both nozzles dripped. But with a soldering gun I melted the back hole leaving only the end gun. The fact is that it has a brass hole, a ball with a nozzle that can be adjusted with a pin (put the pin in the hole and turn the ball). This allowed me to direct the single beam exactly where it shoots up the windshield in front of the arm and covers it fairly well. It remains to be seen if the ball will stay in place but hey you will get 3 of these and I think it will. I'm not sure everyone understands the pen adjustment trick which isn't mentioned anywhere.

Pros
  • Wiper nozzles
Cons
  • The list will be long.
