Well I've had a couple of these controllers for a few weeks - I've tested them. For the most part, the SN30 Pro is a fantastic controller, especially when paired with the Switch. Pros:* The form factor is a proven winner. If you like the SNES controller, the SN30 Pro is a great addition to the compact and efficient SNES controller that hit the market in the early '90s. It's the right weight and feels good in your hand.* The most portable and comprehensive controller I've ever used. Pop it in your bag with your Switch and get going.* The D-Pad is PERFECT and great for retro and vintage gaming.* The ABXY buttons are very responsive. * The built-in gyroscope works really well. * Taking into account a small factor, the shoulder buttons work. But there's a catch. See "Cons" below.* The battery seems to last forever, and the device supports USB-C so there's no need for an extra cable when traveling with the Switch.Cons:* Too many buttons in such a small form factor. Games that require the user to type different key combinations in rapid succession will be disappointed. When playing BOTW, I found my fingers slipping off the ZL or ZR keys during key sequences, or worse, I accidentally pressed the L or R side key because the keys are too close together and cramped *. I need to re-pair the devices to the switch. * Analog sticks are too touch sensitive and hard for my liking. However, this is manageable and requires the user to adjust the playstyle. But, to be fair, these are minor complaints. The controller works surprisingly well, but its retro design is overflowing with modern conveniences. Everything works, but for some applications it works better than others. This will not replace your Pro Controller. However, I can't underestimate how awesome it is to have a few in your pocket with your Switch, especially when it comes to retro gaming. The SN30 Pro might not be the perfect controller, but it's the perfect Switch accessory.
