Analytical but without mid-bass weight

Fit: Great for me, but they're semi-tailored. So maybe not suitable for all ears Design: All in all a very nice IEM. I appreciate the transparent material that allows you to see all the inner workings. At the same time, they used a matte metal bezel so it doesn't look like you're wearing a hearing aid. I have a big problem, it's the filter. It was originally designed without a filter, allowing earwax and dust to easily get into the tubes. Now they turn them on with cheap sticky filters that slip off easily. It looks like a belated workaround, which is disappointing at this price point. I also noticed a few scratches on the brushed metal after only a few weeks of light use. Sound: The mids are outstanding here. They are detailed and roomy, with good sound. High frequencies are accurate but feel clipped in the upper register. This leads to a more stuffy feeling, and focusing on lower frequencies can cause fatigue. Bass is interesting. It seems to be more sub-bass oriented. This creates a nice sense of extension, but makes lower register instruments (like bass guitar and deep male vocals) sound a bit empty. Overall, the sound is mostly neutral, analytical and not very musical. I move from track to track listening to the details instead of sitting back and really enjoying the music as a whole.

Pros
  • Great for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Vulgarity
