Review on Sustainable PlanToys Wooden Lacing Beads (5353) - Eco-friendly Rubberwood, Non-toxic Paints and Dyes by Anthony Gutierrez

Good lacing beads but not the best

These are colorful lacing beads of different shapes. The beads were generally well made on arrival except for a few holes with slightly rough edges. After a few months, the pearls will hold up well. My only complaint is that the laces don't have a fixed "end" and as a parent you have to tie a bead at the end of the lace to keep the beads from falling off. You can't just tie a knot at the end of the lace because 1) the holes in the beads are big and they'll slip anyway, and 2) the lace is a bit slippery and doesn't hold the knot very well (although that's a plus if you want to detach!). My toddler loved playing with it, but usually at my suggestion. When choosing between the two sets, she prefers her Alex Toys Wood Stringing Sets - String a Farm Set. The Alex set has a fixed end and the colorful animals can be used for both stringing and play. If you only have one set of lace beads I would recommend getting an Alex set. If like me you want multiple sets then this is a good second set for Alex.
