Review on 🚗 Wooden Puzzle Cabriolet - UGears Mechanical Wonder by Howie Broyles

I have been building models for many years and am a retired production engineer. This is by far the most annoying set I've ever tried to put together. The laser stencils are not cut properly so trying to remove them from the stencil leaves a lot of detail. None of the tabs are sized or fit into the required holes without careful sanding and wax dripping. The holes are the wrong size and in many cases need to be drilled with a 1/8" drill bit to prevent breakage. Due to the high proportion of defective parts, the kit does not contain a sufficient number of additional parts. I still have parts from the previous model and I had to hastily assemble the gear train. Also, the build sequence leaves a lot to be desired and the building instructions were created by someone who has never built anything before. It takes a lot of guesswork to follow the instructions. Be prepared to have wire cutters, needle nose pliers, some sanding blocks, lots of candle wax, a 1/8" drill bit, and a very sharp pocket knife before beginning this kit.
