I wanted a pair of bar stools to fill the space on my kitchen island. I knew we wouldn't be using them too often, but I wanted something visually appealing and spinning. This is compliant. So many stools are sooooo expensive and I didn't want to pay $$$ for a stool to barely use them. They were affordable. Easy to assemble according to my husband. Pretty sturdy since I got him to try them and he weighs 250 pounds. Not very practical because they are made of wood. Also, the wood had to be sanded in some places because it was rough and would stick to delicate clothing, but that solved the problem. In general I am satisfied with the purchase.
