If you've got a signal, this gets it and I support that because home theater receivers MUST have an antenna. If you have a bad signal (due to long distance, wrong window orientation etc) no room T antenna will help and honestly room amplifiers don't work either, if there is no signal that's it. what an amplifier amplifies static. My location is such that this didn't fix anything for me compared to the device I previously connected. External antennas are required for a good signal unless you are near a transmitter.
