Although I used it to mount the lamp, it was my architect's desk lamp. My current desk is extremely unstable. Every time I wrote or typed by hand, the light flickered. Almost drove me insane. Couldn't find a wall mount I liked so decided to make my own. The remaining piece of PVC, a few screws and washers, and we're good to go! The clamps are solid, the rubber seems to be well made and shaped (no excessive winding) and the bolts are well made. There is a star deduction for the poorly processed tool supplied. The metal of the allen wrench is too soft and rounds off too easily. If they pulled out a tool I would give them 5 stars!
