Review on πŸ”’ TSA-Approved Luggage Lock - Combination Travel Accessories by Natalie Villa

Revainrating 4 out of 5

A secure luggage lock with some security caveats.

I bought this for a trip to England in a month to use with my luggage. I've gone through countless reviews and product descriptions to find one I'm happy with. My criteria were a four-digit code, high recognition value and good ratings. This seemed to hit all the points. First, it's a heavy little lock. It came in a plain box with a plain print on it. Inside the package were two locks in separate plastic bags and instructions. With these locks you can set your own combination. They are set to 0000 and the instructions will tell you how to set your own. Do not exaggerate. I had no problem blocking both the first time. They go well with my luggage and make it more visible thanks to the bright yellow color. This castle seems to have five stars, so why did I give it four stars? Plain black plastic on the side. I don't know if it covers metal or not. For me, plastic has no place in any lock, except as impact protection. Another reason for a four star rating is that if I wanted to I'd be absolutely sure I could accomplish that with a screwdriver and I could do it quickly. The stock doesn't lock very far into the body. I think it's normal for airlines but don't think nobody can get in your suitcase. It will only slow them down. I bought it mainly to prevent my luggage from opening. A very nice feature mentioned in other reviews is the use of black dials with white lettering. It's very easy to see and open even if I don't wear glasses. All combination locks should use this method. It hasn't left my garage yet, but I'll let you know how it goes when I get back from there. At this point I think I can only recommend these locks based on my current experience of setting them up and using them.
