This is actually the only off-brand TFT Display I've ever purchased that has exceeded all of my experiences working with name-brand equivalents. The monitor is fantastically bright for how small it is and how little power it draws, and the life has been fantastic so far. The display itself can draw power through the GPIO pins on the pi, or through its own power supply on the monitor board. The drivers were self-explanatory and install was smooth. Getting the touch accurately calibrated took a little bit of extra effort (5-10 minutes) but was completed by simply using a touch-screen calibration wizard. I would recommend using a stylus for accuracy, but you can still definitely navigate the pi easily with your fingers. IMPORTANT: Don't lose the little HDMI-HDMI connector that comes with this device, or you'll be kicking yourself for weeks. I've never been able to find or even accurately describe such a piece on the internet to find a replacement, and once you start building creations with a Pi, you'll realize how important that little guy is to mounting the display flush to a pi.
