I used to put dryers in my clothes drawers to keep them from getting moldy. It was ok for a nice smell, but it didn't really protect against moisture. These bags neutralize odors and also absorb moisture from the air, which is exactly what I needed. If you have a holiday home that is closed for the winter, or even just a holiday home or mobile home that has only been used for a week or so. here and there or just for the weekend, you'll probably need them. The product description advertises use with a hazardous waste bin, but I don't see why they can't be used for other purposes as well. I assume that after 3 months of use they can be exposed to the sun and can be used again after drying out. I'll see if that's the case when I test them longer.
