Review on Ti Alcohol Stove Cross Stand by Dustin Berry

I have both the Evernew Ti Stove Cross Stand and this Evernew Ti Stove Cross Stand 2. The first version is shorter than the '2' version. Through experimentation, I found that 1.25 inches is the distance I need between the bottom of the pot and the top of the spirit stove to quickly boil water without soot (here at sea level). From what I've read it's called "Sweet Spot" and works well for both a 550ml pot and a liter pot. Stand "2" offers a 1 1/16 inch spacing while the other stand is shorter and offers 9/16 inches. So I realize that stand "2" works better. Both cross bases fit equally well on the Evernew Ti and my Trangia brass stove.
