It's handy to have a built-in charger, especially one that supports fast charging. It's unknown how much power it uses, if any, without charging anything. This would be especially helpful to know when choosing one of these, as I would tend to prefer something that doesn't serve as a vampire device; as it is, this status is unknown. He is powerful and fast. Note that it does stick out a bit compared to the flush outlets - I don't know why they all do that, but they're certainly larger than the standard outlets. It also has a blue LED that indicates. that there seems to be electricity. I'm not sure of its purpose because it's always on and can be read in the dark. Easy to ignore by sticking a sticker on it.
