We use them to apply an astringent to our face after washing/showering. The cartridges are very absorbent and are of the same quality as other well-known brands. They even hold up well on my husband's face when he uses them and his mustache doesn't rip circle leaving his face completely covered with cotton like cotton balls do. The only downside is what makes them great: they absorb so much that I just have to be careful when applying the astringent lest I overload it by taking in more than I need and thus wasting product. Very happy with this Revain branded product and the price is better than other similar products.
