Solar & Wind 90-Day Trial

Yuri that hasn't come out yet, but today it's a troika. I have used the pad several times to charge various Goal Zero products (Yeti 400, F30, Lighthouse 400 and Lighthouse 250) and personal devices (iPad and mobile phone). The maximum value on the Yeti 400 was 14 watts on a bright sunny day in the mountains in direct sunlight. When using the USB charging adapter I got 4 out of 4 blue lights. So not sure if it's Yeti or Nomad which is wrong on reading even after resetting Yeti 14 from 28w and 4 from 4 bulbs it doesn't add. I think Yeti will be most accurate when it comes to actual readings. The stand doesn't support a full panel after being in the sun for a while, the panel will be weak. In addition, the running board fell off the plate when used in the sun with a daytime temperature of around 100 degrees. Not only did the stand fall, but the adhesive on the magnet that holds the stand in place ripped. You would think this is normal use in the sun on a hot day. In defense of Goal Zero, I didn't bring the Yeti or the Panel back to see if there was an issue with either or both devices. Only about two to three hours of inconvenience to take equipment to diagnose. Not sure if the panel is worth the extra $200 compared to another non-goal zero panel.

Pros
  • Charge phones and USB devices directly from the sun with dynamic auto-restart and intelligent electronics that optimize power output depending on the device. Best used for direct charging of phones, small devices and 10-30 watt chargers
Cons
  • I don't remember, but there was something
