Also, a laptop is only as good as the devices you can connect to it, and my Surface Pro 7 (which I LOVE!) doesn't have a lot of connectivity. It has USB-C and a regular USB port. So if I plug my fingerprint scanner into a USB port, I can't connect my wireless mouse to anything unless I have a hub plugged into the USB-C port. Well it's really convenient! I connected a wireless mouse and when I move it there is no lag at all. *Made specifically* for Surface Pro, doesn't always work. And for some reason, blue-toothed mice stagger a bit, too. Grr. You need a wireless USB mouse. /scolding/ The cable coming from my Surface's USB port is long enough for the hub to stand on the table instead of hanging in the air. It has a regular USB end and a USB-C adapter. It is then connected to a transformer block that plugs into the wall. It's not the most portable thing in the world, but it's fine for my desk at home. He must have a wall charger to use to charge other things. All connectors are regular USB connectors. So if you want to connect it to a monitor or TV, you'll need an HDMI adapter. I haven't done it yet. This is a good product. I highly recommend it.
