Ramsond Floor Nailer

I have used this on the floor in two rooms that are 3/4" x 2 1/2" oak. One room was 12 x 12 and the other 12 x 16. This tool worked very well and saved a lot of time. I started work on the 12x12 space last Friday night and finished it Saturday afternoon. 12x16 lasted three nights after work. I got stuck in a jam when I was on a tight turn and didn't have enough room to swing the hammer, so I didn't hit it hard enough and the nail only went halfway in. Otherwise no problem. The tool seems pretty solid and I plan to use it for three more rooms upstairs. I used standard Bostich brand L nails which are easy to find at Lowes or Home Depot. I ran it with a regular air compressor that I bought years ago, it's one of those big tank, small volume compressors you see in every garage. I set it at around 90 pounds. but it seems to work well anywhere from 80 to 100. I am glad that I bought this product. It came in a decent case with a well made floor hammer, goggles and parts. If it really fell apart today, I'd still consider it worth the money for building those two stories so easily. You can run a 12-foot strip in about two minutes with this thing, with the nails spaced 10 inches apart. I spent more time cutting off the extra pieces at the ends of the strips than nailing the bottom.
