The panel I ordered this item for is an inch shorter than the maximum advertised, but I had to stretch the springs a few times to get the hooks onto the panels. I finally made it, but I can imagine that when trying to put this product on a plate, the size given seems too small. It may be better to buy a record hanger with a large maximum. There is nothing wrong with this product, but record hangers are not in demand these days and lie in the package for a long time, which little resembles the feathers.
