Not all packing tape is created equal! I recently moved and bought 3M packing tape instead of Duck and I regret my decision. use cheaper tape. As this was my first time using any packing tape I figured it was normal for the roll to unwind noisily, but it was so annoying I decided to buy this tape instead. I can tape my boxes without hesitation, as the tape only makes a quiet noise at first, but you only notice it when you try it out. The tape is quite strong, does not crumble into small strips and has excellent stickiness even when the packaging is chilled in the refrigerator. However, I have found that the standard Duck pack tape is the quietest tape, but much thinner than this.
