Review on FLSUN Pre Assembled Platform Printing Φ255X360Mm by Runbi Alvarez

Revainrating 3 out of 5

The printer is well built but has serious bed deformation issues. Support for this was limited.

EDIT: I'm adding a few files and videos that confirm what I said in my original review. I modified the video to show how I checked the bed to die clearance with a feeler gauge. I tested this in several places with manual head movement over the keyboard. In some areas the 0.1mm gauge goes just below, in others it doesn't. I've also included photos showing details of a badly warped bed with level changes within a 1 inch range and a closeup showing the straight edge of the bed. Original Review: FLSUN QQ-S build quality is impressive, good solid frame. . The packaging was excellent. Assembly was fairly easy and required no more than the tools provided. The automatic leveling process was done as described with the leveling plate, I had firmware installed on my machine that took 7 sample points. Printing was going fine until I tried to print something outside of a circle about 7 inches in diameter. I noticed that the extruder almost touches the bed at one point. When this happened I tried to cut a floral pattern that almost reached the edges of the bed THEN the problem started. He pulled the bed in several places, but not everywhere in a concentric pattern. I emailed FLSUN support and they responded. I flashed a newer firmware version they provided via Dropbox. This added many more points to the autolevel process. It didn't fix the problem. I've also tried doing the leveling process with just aluminum foil taped to the bed and then grounded (I've seen Blue Mguyver do it). He restarted the process. I sent a video of it to FLSUN support and they said everything is fine. Unfortunately, this did not solve the problem either. I believe that this printer's bed is not just convex, it has grooves. I have attached some pictures of the bed, you can easily highlight the ledges. I will also include a video of a large tarantula I was printing when I noticed an issue with the printer rounding the edges on one of the longer legs. FLSUN's support got a little more distant after they were sent these crooked photos of the bed. They replied since then, I think now nothing helps me anymore. I know most lower end 3D printers require a bit of persuasion, but sorry, for $430 I should at least be able to use 3/4 of the bed. area if not all. A star. ride back
