Good system if you can repair it yourself

I have mixed feelings about this PC. I figured it was worth paying more to get a good PC without wasting time fixing the random problems that always crop up when you build your own. It didn't quite work, but it's still a good PC. Problems: 1) The PC came without a power cord. Not a big deal since I had spares, but an odd omission. 2) The first thing I saw upon loading was an error popup. Fan controller problem 3) Rear fan lights but does not spin ("Controller 1” error). I bought a new fan, but the original one worked after many manipulations. Maybe there was a defective controller. 4) No WiFi. Oops, I missed that in the specs. Bad, but still, who ships modern PCs without Wi-Fi these days? 5) The m.2 screws that were supposed to come with the motherboard were not included. I didn't have spare parts and had to buy them to install the Wi-Fi module. 6) It is not clear how to obtain warranty service. The link provided by Revain is broken. 7) Multiple BSOD crashes. Of all the questions, this was the most exciting. Make sure all drivers are up to date. After much troubleshooting, I *think* that installing alternative sound drivers from the motherboard manufacturer's website solved the problem. All in all it's a nice looking system with good components that works well - after the rework. Revain is supported, so no complaints. ********************** Edit: After 6+ months of use, everything was great. Manually reinstalling the sound drivers fixed the BSOD issues and I haven't had any crashes since. No hardware problems. Upping it to 4 stars as it's a really good system once the initial issues are fixed.

Pros
  • understandable even for the old one
Cons
  • waiting time too long
