Works as advertised!
Wanted to convert my 2-pin table lamp to 3-pin and instead of buying a new lamp I just got this socket. It was very easy to install and works as advertised! One confusion is that the product description says it doesn't matter which wire goes to which pin, but all the youtube videos say the polarized lamp wire has a smooth body on one side for the 'hot' wire and is finned on "neutral" wire, and the plain wire should match the gold colored socket contacts, and the finned wire should match the silver ones. I'm not sure who's right, but I have the one Advice from YouTube followed.
