    Great replacement sockets, save your lamp at a very reasonable price.

    I have two high quality floor lamps and the switches on both have failed. I ordered this replacement from Revain and it literally took a few minutes to install. $7 saved my two hundred lamps! The good news is that the threads on the switch stem are universal and my original switch knobs that match my bulbs thread perfectly onto the stem and I didn't use the plastic knob that came with the socket. Great replacement sockets at a good price.

    Works as advertised!

    Wanted to convert my 2-pin table lamp to 3-pin and instead of buying a new lamp I just got this socket. It was very easy to install and works as advertised! One confusion is that the product description says it doesn't matter which wire goes to which pin, but all the youtube videos say the polarized lamp wire has a smooth body on one side for the 'hot' wire and is finned on "neutral" wire, and the plain wire should match the gold colored socket contacts, and the finned wire should match the…

    I was confused at first because it says this is an average replacement but the bulb clearly fits and it turns out most table lamps and even floor lamps have a medium base. One wonders what a large outlet is good for. In any case, it was very easy to replace it with a new mechanism. Almost all are covered with a plastic cardboard fitting, so you have to push out the old mechanism to swap and remove it. Don't worry, thumbs work. It took five minutes to replace the switch.
