I didn't have high expectations for this baby. But I work in a car dealership. Cars come to us two or three times a day and they won't start. Just connect this thing to an ungrounded coil or coil pack and ground it and you should see sparks. I like that it's adjustable. I'll be a little spark that's okay up to 20 marks. But to test the strength, I set it to 30. You'll be able to tell right away if you have a bright spark, a long spark or a short yellowish spark, everyone in the shop loves this thing. They ended up buying one for themselves too.
