It is a very dirty yellow color - looks like it has been washed with a new pair of black trousers and the black color has leached out into yellow. The inside is lined with a different material (fleece) and a lighter yellow color than I was hoping for on the outside. Unfortunately, the pompom on top of the hat makes this irreversible. I'm disappointed because I bought it to match something else and the yellow was a little lighter than it should be, but I don't want my child walking around in something that doesn't fit and looks dirty.
