I climb mountains to get as much sun exposure as possible for my skin (direct, higher altitude = less weather protection and snow reflection below). I bought this and three other highly rated sunscreens. The rest is based on zinc or titanium oxide. They all protect my skin quite well. The big difference, and why this one is superior to others, is the smoothness of use. Others are quite "tacky" and require a lot of effort to get good coverage and no white spots. I always come home with a spot or two that I missed (elbows, back of arms, etc.) and they're pink. Not to mention the white spots on my shirts. With this sunscreen, it applies evenly, lasts 3-5 hours between uses (maybe longer, but I'm not even trying) and I don't get sensitive pink spots in hard-to-reach areas.
