I have bought several of these ring holders for my cell phone. All were made of metal, which quickly loses its lifespan. This is the first plastic I've ever bought. He's still holding on. also glued to my plastic ottorbox iphone case. I don't think I need to worry about it falling apart like some of the previous ones I've bought (the metal pin usually falls out of the diff styles I've bought). The only thing I make aloud is when I adjust the ring stand or twist it to change direction. Also, I recommend this
