I like the soft feel and look of carbon fiber. (although fingerprints are easily visible) I've never liked the shiny silver of the Dell XPS range, even though they're great laptops. The sound is decent for such a small device. Battery life isn't great, but luckily I don't need it. I chose this i5 processor because it should generate less heat and draw less power than an i7, while still delivering near-identical performance. The SSD can be upgraded, but it's an M.2 2242 that has relatively few options. I installed 1TB in my Sabrent Rocket. My main gripe is the inability to set the keyboard backlight in the BIOS to always be on. I had to use a third party app which was annoying. I also wish the USB-C port was on the right, but there are only two on the left. Otherwise it's a great car and only 2 pounds. I didn't notice any flare or other issues with the display, and the 2160 x 1350 resolution is perfect for the size. The touch function works as it should. An Intel wireless network card that is always a plus.
