Review on πŸ–₯️ FoKoos Odin 5 Touchscreen, Fully Assembled 235x235x250mm by Kaveen Reyes

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Wow! Successful printing the first time!

So glad I'm using this printer! I'm not a print expert! I have access to a very expensive Dremel printer at work and I must say it has always given me problems! This fokoos printer made a successful print at the first time! with minimal customization using default settings! What I like about the printer.1. Easy to navigate through the menu. Easy setting! 2. Super fast extruder and platform get hot! 3. Lattice Glass! Every print sticks to the glass! no prep, no glue, no tape! Wonderful! The motifs stick so well to glass that I had to stick a glass plate in the fridge! I've never experienced this, I've always had issues with designs curling and not sticking! 4. He uses a Cura-based slicer! Open source slicer! Super easy to learn! 5. Printing speed is good. No faster than some claim. it all depends on the slicer settings! As easy as the initial setup. it still requires a brain to work! Don't expect it to be easy to print and go! You must watch some YouTube videos if you are a total noob! 2. This printer does not have automatic alignment. some speak well. some say otherwise. However. I used an auto-level printer and had problems. Haven't had a single problem with this printer! Remember. When aligning with a 20lb bond paper (regular printer paper) the paper should be slightly taut! almost effortless! Nothing more! 3. Wipe the bed with salt water before printing! It makes your prints pop out after the bed has cooled effortlessly! (I use a nasal solution bottle) or put the glass bed in the fridge (you will need to re-level the bed in this case) 4. When creating 3D designs in Sketchup. Export them as STL files! AND RECOVER THEM! File recovery is critical to a successful print! To do this, use Open your Files in 3D Builder (a free Windows application) or something similar. It will tell you if your file needs repairing. than to repair and save. Here it is! 5. As in everything. Be patient! Good luck and happy printing!
