My friend keeps the house odor free so moving house meant I had to give up my Proraso tubes. It took a lot of research to find a suitable replacement. Some unflavored versions appear to have a rancid, animal-like lard odor. No thank you. As far as I can tell, this one has virtually no odor and lathers great. I add more water than ever before but I've only ever used cream soap and not washing machines so I don't know how it compares to other washing machines. Bottom line is I lube up my head and face well with great lather and no smell that I can detect so it absolutely does what it's supposed to and I would definitely recommend it.
