I had a hard time writing this because I know so many people who benefit from silk pillowcases. So this is not to convince anyone not to buy this product. I just want to offer some additional opinions so people have as much information as possible. This product is well made, nice and smooth, the zipper is hidden, the color is as described (I bought ivory). However. Personally I wouldn't buy this product again for a one night sleep because SIDE SLEEPERS: It sticks to my face because I sleep on my side! I apply serum and face cream every night right before bed. And the pillowcase just doesn't stick to my face if I don't apply cream OR apply my night cream an hour before bed. I find it so pathetic. HAIR CARE: Silk pillowcases cannot get wet. This means that I cannot go to bed at all with wet hair, even slightly damp hair, as this will damage the pillowcase and also cause the pillowcase to stick to my face. **I totally understand that many people use this pillowcase to prevent follicle rupture. And I respect everyone's needs and preferences. Just share the other side. CARE INSTRUCTIONS: I thought I would be fine with hand washing the pillowcase, but I'd rather put all my linens in the washing machine. ALTERNATIVES: What if I can choose not to use silk? I take an old, very soft t-shirt and pull it over a pillowcase. It sounds very "not cool" but works just as well, can get wet and doesn't require hand washing. Yet again. Some of these disadvantages probably don't affect the benefits that most people get from this article. We hope this information helps people make a decision that suits them!
