Review on 🔧 Sierra International 18-3429 Water Pump Kit - White by Young Rich

It was a really good price for what appeared to be such a complete set. The impeller was decent quality and fitted as expected down to the bottom where the plate fitted well no problem as did the case insert. The water hose socket on the pump body fitted well, it was soft rubber, the one I took out was hard plastic, but I believe the pump that came in was an aftermarket one. Not sure which one is closer to OEM, but it will work just fine somehow. The gaskets had a little problem, the quality isn't as good as the OEM but they will work, one of my gaskets didn't fit properly. I had to drill holes for the dowel pins to fit, but it wasn't what I expected. The hardware was missing two washers for the shorter body bolts. Andy Woodruff's key didn't fit, it was too wide, it was pretty tight. I could probably file it down and adjust it a bit, but I had an old one and decided to just put it back in place. The removed body bolts look a bit more premium and since I was missing washers anyway, I'll just use the old stuff. All in all it's not a bad deal given the price but it's a very basic baby and had a few issues so I don't know if this would be a better buy if you have the time to wait and the extra money to spend you. probably. Better in the long run with an OEM kit if you are careful and they are not too old. Yamaha seals can be reused multiple times just by changing the impeller. These aftermarket pads tend to stick very poorly and rip when you try to scrape them off, they're pretty much disposable. I try to change the impeller once a year or every two years. It's nice when Yamaha pads can be reused to save money and time. If you only have $30 or need a kit really fast and can't find it locally, this isn't a bad option. You can get it to work, but you'll probably have some minor issues, but you can probably get its work done, I think with just a little attention to detail they could get this kit right.
