For the price and purpose of being a blank this does the job but if you're looking for a 1U panel that's as black as your other Gear or the rack itself, this is not the case (see photo). The first has a 2U disk (same manufacturer) next to the black 4U rack drawer, and the second has a 1U disk next to the black part of the rack shelf. The difference is pretty obvious. They appear black in certain lighting conditions, but when you place them next to other devices that are black, they stand out. Luckily, the alternating hues between this panel (which I'd rather describe as a dark gray) and my hardware, which is black, look nice, but if you're a stickler when it comes to getting all your stuff together, you'll probably want to move on look for another panel. .
