I love the versatility of this backpack. It can be a protective bag when placed on the back or an easy access bag when worn under the shoulder. On some of these anti-theft backpacks, the opening is so low that accessing everything inside is like penetrating a needle. This bag has fewer design issues and I've found that I like it more than almost anything I've tried in the past. I'm not always confident carrying a backpack on my back, even with inward-facing zippers, so I guess this bag doubles as a tote with relative ease. The material is easy to disinfect. I cleaned it with iso alcohol and the color hasn't changed. There were no odors from production or outgassing.
