Review on Phanteks PH EC500ATG_DBK01 Full Metal Mid Tower Digital RGB by Russ Freeman

I chose this case based on glowing customer reviews. I've been building computers since 2010 and feel reasonably familiar with most of the major manufacturers. This is my first experience with this company. At first glance, this case looks very nice. Access is easy and convenient, and the components and layout are pretty slick. Upon examining the case out of the box, I discovered that one of the wires connected to one of the panel buttons was somehow crimped into something I suspect was in the manufacturing process. . It was slightly tucked in at the top where the 2 pieces of metal met. If you look closely, there is actually a bit of bare wire. I have decided to initiate a replacement with Revain but now the device is being delayed until December. Obviously I can't get started on any of my builds until I get the case, so things are being delayed. When I finally finished packing the suitcase, I noticed that the suitcase also had a dent. All of this damage was unrelated to packaging and handling or any suspicion that the previously returned item was sold as new. Case arrived new and completely undamaged or tampered with. The inner packaging looked good too. I can only see that this is a quality control and/or something else in the production process. At this point I just want to look for something else in stock so I can get it before December, but I really liked the case. I rate my first overall experience with 2 stars.
