Helps with automation but slow as mentioned

I bought this product because it works with the TuyaSmart app which I already use for several of my Wi-Fi devices. The device was recognized according to the provided instructions in the app. There was a small error when I switched it on for the first time. The TuyaSmart app couldn't find it initially, so I had to use the reset procedure to get it back into "pairing" mode. Once that was done, I was able to find it and Alexa recognized it automatically. The reason I bought this item was to detect motion as I approach my media room/theater room, then turn on the LED light strips on the floor, turn on the audio/video equipment, activate the retractable projector screen and turn on the projector on. All of these elements are already active through Alexa, so the motion detector provides the stimulus needed to trigger the Alexa process that pulls all of these actions together. insanely slow. This has nothing to do with Echo or my network. I have a Ubiquiti Wi-Fi setup with various APs around the house for coverage at or below -60dBm (ie good to excellent coverage). This item is very close to one of the access points with a rating of almost -30dBm (meaning the wireless signal can't get any better outside the lab!). It takes almost 4 seconds from detection to action. I can talk to my Echo or perform an operation on my phone faster than the motion sensor can trigger. I have to admit, a little sloppy in the coding or in the Wi-Fi hardware. Still, I give it 4* because it does what I want it to do, even if it's a lot slower than I expected. The workaround I did was to tilt the motion detector so it sees more of the approach area to give it an advantage. It was difficult to enter this as the recognition seems to change at lightning speed and even from day to day. Anyway, for $16 I can't complain and AA batteries were included so overall I'm happy and would recommend.
