I ordered these directly from FGX after Revain accidentally sent me the wrong pair (no wonder Revain corrected that error with no problem). For the price this is a perfect set of readers that do a really good job of reducing the strong blue light emitted by LCD screens such as computer monitors, smartphones and tablets. I got some really good blue light blocking glasses to compare. In terms of performance, they are very similar. I can't say that my more expensive glasses (with Kodak BlueReflect lens coating) block blue light any more. They can be, but for my use case I don't see any difference. These FGs did the job I wanted which was to reduce my eye fatigue at the end of the day (burning, tearing and headaches). For the record, I'm a software developer who spends 8 hours a day in front of two LCD screens and too much time on my iPhone, iPad, or Kindle Fire. There are only three downsides: 1. The inner part of the lenses reflects more than I would like. When I have a light source on either side of me I can really see the reflection of my own eyes on the inside of the lenses, which can be distracting. My expensive glasses do too, but not as much.2. The lenses offer almost no clarity to my pricier pairs, and things are a bit noticeably foggy at times. You could chalk it up as "No, they're $35" and you'd be right. Like all my FG readers that have nose pads, the nose pads dangle on their feet and rattle. It's okay, but it annoys me a little. In general, given the price, you can hardly go wrong. These are comfortable readers that work well and do a really good job of reducing blue light and its associated exposure symptoms. I wore them to work every day while waiting for my more expensive prescription pair and they have helped me a lot. I keep them in a case right next to my monitor for the inevitable day I forget my more expensive ones. Bottom line: if you need readers and spend some time staring at some sort of LCD screen, order them.
