I purchased it mostly to play music from the internet via bluetooth, particularly children's songs and fairy tales:) - the phone connection is instant, the stable connection is not lost anywhere within the apartment, and everything is good and free of any distortion. Sometimes I hook it up to a TV so I can watch movies on it, and other times I hook it up to a player so I can listen to music on it (pca-mini 3.5). Neither of these devices get hot, nor do they make any noise when plugged in or unplugged, and there is no unnecessary background noise. I don't utilize treble / bass settings, since. Everything is going to be perfect by default. There have been no issues with the speakers, and I listen to a wide variety of music, ranging from traditional to dubstep.
