I've tried everything I can think of to eliminate distortion with these mics. I have been a singer for many years and have used many mixers, microphones etc. I've tried less volume, more volume, less mixer effects, more effects and I still get very noticeable distortion, especially at low frequencies when singing. You seem to fall asleep when not speaking/singing, then slowly wake up and pick up sounds again. Distortions completely spoil the impression. I realize this isn't the so-called top of the range, and it might be fine as long as you're not worried about distortion, say, a house kid's party, etc. UPDATE: After posting this review, VeGue contacted me my issue with the mics. They apologized for the issue and corrected my purchase very quickly. As far as I know, they are the real deal. They definitely have the customer in mind and do everything well. I will definitely buy products from them and because of the (genuine) customer service they have shown for my issue. I will now give them a (five) star rating. Buy from them with confidence. Excellent prices and customer service. I highly recommend them. It is a pleasure to do business with such a company.
