I have bought two of these mice for work in the past and I really like them. It does its job well, it's nice and small and the battery life is pretty good. I also like that the key fits into the battery compartment, although it's small enough that I don't usually even take it out when I put my laptop in my bag. The mouse tracks everything (mat, table, couch armrest, my foot, etc.) and the scroll wheel has indentations, which is a must for me (I hate free scroll wheels). I really love the mouse and since there are very few mice that don't have a free scroll wheel left, I decided to buy another one to replace a worn out mouse for my home desktop. Something went wrong here. There is an issue with the new mouse where the cursor jumps around and sometimes refuses to work on my desktop. I've searched all over the internet to see what the problem could be (especially since I haven't had this problem on three different brands of laptop) but there are so many different thoughts on this that I'm not sure what to do do. With. The two most likely theories are that there is a software issue related to Microsoft IntelliPoint, and the second that components in the tower are affecting the hardware in the dongle (this makes sense since the shield is inside the laptop, which isn't on the desktop may play a role). Whatever the problem, it's annoying. Very annoying. I didn't use a mouse for FPS games but that would have rendered them unplayable. So I will use a different model for my desktop and keep this mouse as a backup for my laptop. I think when they say it's a "mobile mouse" they mean it. I'd say if you're using it with a laptop you can't do better, but stay away if you're using a desktop -Require a mouse (unless you can't fix the problem). Update: The article mentioned that I read that the USB 3.0 interference problem can be solved by using a USB extender and therefore removing the dongle from the signal interference. Although I have a lot of USB ports on my tower (I have 5 3.0 and 3 USB 2.0 ports), my new apartment doesn't have as much space as my house, so my computer is on the floor next to my desk, and anything that goes into the USB port should stay there. I'd rather be able to install some of these things on my desk, so I bought an external USB hub. Since I was already in the market with some kind of USB extender, I purposely bought USB 2.0, thinking that if I could plug a mouse dongle into it, I wouldn't get any USB 3.0 glitches from it and it might solve my problem . That works great. This weekend I spent over 10 hours on the computer and had no problems with the mouse. I also bought a 10ft USB extension cable for the USB hub (which hasn't arrived yet), but the included 3ft cable does the job. A 4-port USB hub (so it can charge things like your phone) cost me $22. It's worth it considering I can now use the mouse I love and don't have to risk buying multiple new mice until I find one I like.
