bought these. We have straws of all kinds at home, stainless steel, disposable, extra long, etc. I started drinking more water so I bought a 40 ounce water bottle and knew that just buying "splash guard" wouldn't work. won't do it for me However, if I drink from a wide-mouthed container, I spill it all over myself. Ice is ten times worse. They bought that. I really love her! They were a bit big for my water bottle so I trimmed them slightly and they always live in the bottle. I once left it in a bottle of juice and water mix for a long time and mold started to grow on the straw, but to my surprise it actually came off just by running water through the straw. To sanitize it I just dip it in a bottle of bleach/water mix and never had a problem. It also didn't taste like anything I've used it with! It's been a few months so far and I have others that have been in the bag so I think I'll be set for a lifetime!
