The motor is great I would highly recommend if you can buy it separately. The included pedal is complete junk. It will work for about a week and then slowly lose the ability to work. In fact, it only has 2 speeds: point or top speed. This will damage your projects and the expensive materials you paid for and spent time preparing to sew. The seller sent me a replacement pedal so I really appreciated it. However, the second had the same problems. I also had to send back the first pedal which cost almost half as much as a new pedal so I just ate up most of the cost. I suggest buying the motor separately if you can find it and then maybe looking for a different pedal. 1.5 amps are powerful and ideal for working with thicker materials such as backpacks and harnesses.
